TAP’s typical client is a single mother of two, struggling to support her family with an annual income of less than $15,000. She is representative of a growing number of working poor people in the Chicago metropolitan area, considering that:
Individuals who earn an annual income of less than $15,000 and families who earn an annual income of less than $40,000 are eligible for TAP’s services. TAP operates neighborhood sites throughout the city and surrounding suburbs in order to connect our programs and volunteers directly to residents of underserved communities.
