The 2008 season begins on Tuesday, January 22; the first Saturday of the season is January 26.  We encourage you to register as a volunteer on our website and to sign up for training and volunteering sessions today.

Working with the Tax Assistance Program is fun, easy, and rewarding. You do not need a business or finance background to participate; Tax Assistance provides all of the necessary training and materials. With over 14 years of experience effecting change in the Chicago community, TAP ensures that volunteers are trained and prepared to serve clients effectively and confidently.

For those not interested in serving as a tax preparer, there are also non tax-oriented volunteer positions, including client greeter/screener roles, site assistants, site leaders, translators, and IT managers.

Look at the possibilities:

• In one volunteer hour, you can help return $1,300 to a hardworking family.
• On one Saturday of volunteering, you can return $5,200 to Chicagoland communities.
