Over the last 14 years, TAP has developed partnerships with almost 800 corporations, foundations, nonprofit community organizations, and government agencies to extend our available resources. TAP has strategic partnerships with a variety of government agencies, including:

Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
Congressman Rahm Emanuel’s Office
Illinois Department of Human Services
Illinois Student Assistance Commission
Illinois Lieutenant Governor’s Office
Chicago Mayor’s Office
Chicago Department of Housing
Mayor Daley’s EITC Initiative
Chicago Public Schools
Offices of Chicago Aldermen

These partners have provided recognition, advertising, and financial and technical assistance to TAP. Notably, the IRS has approved TAP’s volunteer training program, so that participants receive continuing, professional education credits.

TAP has strategic partnerships with more than 500 nonprofit community organizations. These organizations include:

Archdiocese of Chicago
Catholic Charities
Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago
YMCAs and YWCAs of Chicago
Spanish Coalition for Jobs.

They publicize, house, and recommend TAP’s programs. Catholic Charities, for instance, distributes more than 300,000 program flyers to their clients, and allows us to use space in three of their Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Food Centers.
